Discovery Years is Participating in the state initiative Grow NJ Kids. New Jersey’s Quality Rating Improvement System, is the New Jersey’s program to raise the quality of child care and early learning across the state.
The receive a Grow NJ Kids star rating – a program must complete a very thorough self-assessment, work with trained professionals to address areas needing improvement and then go through a comprehensive on-site review conducted by a trained rater. Based on these assessments, a program is given a star rating, up to 5 stars.
As programs move up the rating system, requirements increase. The star ratings are valid for three years from the review date. The standards are high and reaching the highest quality rating is often a long-term process, but know that all programs participating in Grow NJ Kids are committed to making improvements that help prepare kids for school and life.
